ALL CASES
MUST FALL WITHIN V.L.A.K. GUIDELINES TO BE ACCEPTED!
V.L.A.K.
and its parent organization, ARDF, does not accept
criminal law matters. |

V.L.A.K. Guidelines
V.L.A.K.'s Guidelines were
established by the ARDF Board of
Directors and the Executive Director
in accordance with the rules
outlined by IOLTA, V.L.A.K.'s cheif
funding source. Additionally, we
are required to follow the federal
poverty guidelines to determine ones
eligibility based on the entire
household income in which the
prospective client resides, even if
only on a temporary basis.
If
one qualifies, our program tries to
place the case for up to ninety
days, with an attorney who practices
in the county where the case will be
heard. If an attorney is not
available to take one's case within
the ninety-day time frame, we will
close that case. One can reapply
six months from the date our program
notifies the client that his/her
case has been closed. One will be
required to go through the intake
process again to determine
eligibility at that time.
